Dr. Sohale Sadeghpour is an orthopedic surgeon with specialized fellowship training in sports medicine, which involves treatment of musculoskeletal injuries through arthroscopic surgery. A native of Houston, Texas, Dr. Sadeghpour graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in cell biology from Tulane University.
He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 2010. As a medical student, he received the Tulane Caldwell Society award in recognition of the study of orthopedic surgery. His education at Tulane continued with completion of an orthopedic surgery residency in 2015. During his training he received the William F. Sherman award for outstanding first-year resident. In New Orleans, he provided high school football coverage in each of his five years of residency, and on the collegiate level, he assisted with coverage of various Tulane sporting events.
His interest in sports medicine led him to Pensacola, Florida where he completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Andrews Research and Education Foundation. As a fellow, he worked alongside world-renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. This specialized training allowed Dr. Sadeghpour to build on his residency experience with treating athletes, while learning the latest on operative and non-operative means of treating sports injuries.
During his fellowship year, he was team physician for a high school football team and assisted covering the Auburn University football. At the Andrews Research and Education Foundation, he had the opportunity to take care of a diverse group of athletes ranging from high school all the way to professional.
With his training completed, Dr. Sadeghpour is looking forward to working with yet another group of excellent orthopedic surgeons. “Joining the team at Athletic Orthopedics and Knee Center,” says Dr. Sadeghpour, “allows me to practice orthopedic sports medicine at a premier facility and continue to gain experience from some of the country’s top experts.”
He holds medical licenses in Louisiana, Florida, Alabama, and Texas. Dr. Sadeghpour is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Louisiana Orthopaedic Association, and Arthroscopy Association of North America.Meet the other AOK Physicians
